Managing Director - Chandra Jakhar

Chandra commenced his career in the disability sector in 2009 with the Northern Territory Health Department’s Specialist Forensics Disability Support team, where he acquired significant skills and experience working with individuals with a dual diagnosis who had complex behaviours. He was part of a dynamic team who successfully transitioned participants from the prison system into community settings.

Chandra has also trained support staff to manage complex behaviours and deal with conflict situations. His formal qualifications are Bachelor of Nursing, Master of business Administration and Certificate in Functional Behavioural Assessment. Chandra’s career objective is to be an integral part of a powerful team delivering a high standard of service to individuals in the Territory.

Chief Finance Officer – Shipra Soni, CPA

Shipra has over 10 years’ experience in the Australian finance/accounting sector and gained her membership with CPA Australia in 2015. Her key roles and responsibilities have included, but not limited to developing procedures, implementing financial systems, budgets, donor and grants management, strategies, processes and controls that significantly improve financial administration. She is an expert in establishing accounting functions, systems and best practices; and developing long lasting business relationships to ensure goal-surpassing fiscal performance.

She is currently on the board of Australia Day Council NT serving as their Treasurer. Her computer skills include proficiency in Business World (Agresso), SUN, Advanced Inquiry, Tech One (Financial & Payroll), Award Management System (AMS), Zero, MYOB, Maze and MS Office. Her enthusiasm is to stay abreast of industry developments and changes that could impact and positively improve on THS’ business and corporate services in order to provide quality services to people with disabilities whilst maintaining integrity and transparency. She acknowledges and lives by the vision and mission of THS her aim is to create and maintain a values led culture team and use her financial skills and stewardship to maximise social impact.

Operations Manager – Rahat Hussaini

Rahat is an extremely driven individual with considerable skills and experience in the disability sector. He has successfully led various teams, providing quality care to people with disabilities including individuals with behaviours of concern. Rahat was previously employed in the retail sector where he successfully managed diverse teams at various locations.

His formal qualifications are Bachelor of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Diploma in Business, Cert 3 in Community Services Disability and Certificate 4 in Mental Health. He is currently completing his Bachelor of Nursing at Charles Darwin University. Rahat has significant experience in the field of Autism and has also completed courses in Preventing and Understanding Dementia. He is highly motivated in providing quality care to people with disabilities to meet their needs and live a safe and healthy life.
